Australian HD-E1 units carry the KTY suffix. This Ver 2.5 region-free image is the Australia-specific counterpart to the European KTE and Russian KTR 2.5 region-free sets: same generation, correct regional branding/build for KTY hardware.

Update guidance
- Burn the extracted ISO as a disc image at low speed; tray-load it with TV input selected so you can confirm the on-screen “Proceed with Update” prompt.
- Ver 2.5 is the region-free base for this family. If the player is already on 2.7+, install this (or the published 2.7→2.5 rollback for HD-E1) before expecting DVD region-free behaviour.
- Never cut power while the front display shows Update / percent complete.
