Installation Instructions
âš Important: Ensure your player is connected to a stable power source during the update process. Power failure during installation may damage your device.
Method 1: Burning the ISO to a Disc (Recommended)
- Download the ISO file and save it to your computer.
- Use a disc-burning software such as ImgBurn, Nero, or Roxio to burn the ISO to a blank CD-R at the slowest possible speed (4x or lower).
- After burning, verify the disc to ensure there are no errors.
- Power on your Toshiba HD-DVD player and insert the firmware disc into the tray.
- The update should start automatically. If not, turn off the player, insert the disc, then turn it back on.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. DO NOT TURN OFF THE PLAYER until the update finishes.
- Once completed, the player will restart. Eject the disc and check the firmware version in the settings menu to confirm the update was successful.
Method 2: Using the NRG Image (For Nero Users)
- Download the NRG file and open it using Nero Burning ROM.
- Burn it to a blank CD-R at the lowest speed possible.
- Follow steps 3-7 from Method 1 to install the firmware.
